    Tex Sample, former oil field roust-about, civil rights activist, and social theologian, is a homespun storyteller with a message of ministry with blue-collar folk, whether white, black or brown. He is a community organizer in Phoenix in medical care, job training and safety; coordinator of the Network for the Study of U.S. Lifestyles and Professor Emeritus of Church and Society, St. Paul School of Theology.
